DRAWING WILL BE HELD Friday, October 12, 2012 at intermission at the Tri City Speedway in Granite City, IL.  No tickets will be sold after the start of the first race at Tri City Speedway Friday, October 12, 2012; and no tickets will be sold after 12:00 noon on October 12, 2012, if purchased over the internet.

The winner does not need to be present to claim the prize.

GENERAL CONTEST PROVISIONS:  By purchasing a ticket, the purchaser agrees to all of the rules and regulations as provided herein. The person with the winning ticket assumes all fees, local, state and federal taxes (including but not limited to income taxes based on the value of all prizes won and awarded).  The IRS has taken the position that the amounts paid for chances in drawings or lotteries for valuable prizes are not gifts, and consequently do not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution.

The winner of the raffle may choose a cash payout of $10,000 in lieu of the crate car.  There are federal, state and/or local tax consequences should the winner choose to receive the $10,000 cash prize.

By entering this drawing, each participant releases Leaps of Love from any and all liability for injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by participating in the drawing or winning the Crate Car or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize.  The winner agrees to indemnify and hold LOL and all volunteers harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of participating in the drawing or the winner’s acceptance or use of the prize.

TICKETS AND PRIZE SELECTION:  Only one eligible person may be entered in the raffle per ticket sold.  If the name of more than one person is submitted with a ticket purchase and that ticket is selected as a winning ticket, then the person named first will be deemed the Holder of that ticket and declared the winner.  Should the prize selected be the cash prize ($10,000), division of the prize by a group purchasing a ticket in common shall be the sole responsibility of the person named as the Holder of the winning ticket.  LOL reserves the right to reject any entry.

All defective or physically altered entries will be immediately disqualified by LOL.  Prior to the drawing, LOL will make a reasonable effort to notify the individual and/or entity that submits any rejected or disqualified entry to advise that the entry has been rejected or disqualified by attempting to contact that individual using the information that was supplied at the time of purchase.

An individual can purchase as many tickets as they wish subject to availability.

At the sole discretion of LOL, tickets purchased from an authorized LOL representative may be paid for in US cash, check or credit card over the secured page on the internet (www.leapsoflove.org).

SELECTION OF WINNER:  The winner will be selected by drawing.  The drawing will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 during intermission at  Tri City Speedway.  The drawing will be conducted in full view of the attendees at Tri City Speedway.

Immediately following the drawing, a subsequent drawing will be held to select the back-up winner in the event that the initial winner is unable to accept the prize due to any applicable law (e.g. federal, state or local).

If not physically present, the initial winner will be notified according to contact information provided to LOL at the time of ticket purchase.  If the prize winner cannot be located by 5:00 pm on October 20, 2012, after attempting to make contact through the information provided at the time of purchasing the ticket, the back-up winner shall be declared the winner and contacted by an authorized LOL representative.

CLAIMING OF PRIZE:  Proof of identity in forms satisfactory to LOL showing that the person claiming the prize is the same person who is named on the winning ticket.  W-2G, Form 5754 or similar tax form for tax withholding purposes.

THE GRAND PRIZE:  The Grand Prize is one 2008 Rayburn Combo Car w/604 Crate or a $10,000 cash prize to be selected at the discretion of the winner.

ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS, INCLUDING DISCLAIMER OR WARRANTIES:  LOL does NOT provide any warranty, expressed or implied and there is NO liability or responsibility regarding the construction or condition of the car.  There is NO responsibility for the quality of the car described herein except as otherwise provided by the rules and regulations.  NO expressed or implied warranties are given and NO affirmation by words, written or oral, and/or actions will or do constitute a warranty.  There are NO warranties that extend beyond the description on the ticket face herein.  The acceptance of the Crate Car by the winner is “AS IS” and “WHERE IS”; winner is responsible for the transportation of the Crate Car to its final destination.  If the winner selects the $10,000 cash prize, all appropriate and required federal, state and local taxes will be withheld in accordance with federal, state and local law and winner will receive the balance of the cash prize.  There is NO guarantee that the IRS will accept any sated value of said car for the purpose of determining any income tax that may be due from the winner.

Our family has been so blessed to be part of the Leaps of Love family. I say “family” because that is exactly what they are to us, family. Last year friends of ours who are also a part of LOL, encouraged us to attend the family retreat weekend in Hannibal with them. Our friends had nothing but wonderful things to say about LOL and so we decided to go.  The experience we had during this family retreat was amazing.  Most of all, we were treated as family the moment we arrived.  The entire weekend provided our family emotional support by networking with the other families that were also there.  The fun activities were well planned and organized with every detail thought of.  Our two boys enjoyed every minute of the trip and have memories of this experience for their life.  They have a forever friend and bond with one of the volunteers.  Since that trip last year, we have continued to be a part of LOL through various events.  Our Hero, Cole, just turned 5 and celebrated his birhtday with friends and family by raising money for Leaps of Love.  Cole raised over $500 to support Leaps of Love.  Without Leaps of Love, what would families like ours do?  How would we have the chance to meet other families and form support groups?  Simply put, without Leaps of Love, we wouldn’t.  From the bottom of our hearts, Thank You Leaps of Love for putting these Hero’s first and providing their families with tremendous support.  You are truly AMAZING!!!
